Jamboree on the Air is the largest Radio Scouting event. It was all started in 1957 at the World Scout Jamboree in Sutton park. A group of licensed radio amateurs started it after a successful event station was held.
Getting Involved
None Licensed Leaders Information: For those leaders who don’t have an amateur radio license it is always easier to get involved on the day with your local amateur radio group. They will be able to sort out the necessary licenses and radio equipment needed. To find your local club search on this page here.
Licensed Leaders Information: For those leaders with an Amateur radio license you will need to follow the rules laid out in POR FS120522. Don’t forget to register your station on the official Jota/Joti website. To apply for a NOV for a special event station follow this link.

A few of the common Scouting frequencies are listed below. You will find them for Voice communication as well as CW. These are just listed as guidance and not as a set frequency. Please be respectful if the frequencies are already in use.
